Founded by a retired Cook County Police Officer, we have built a reputation as the go-to provider for private security services in Chicago, surrounding suburbs, as well as Northwest Indiana. Our executive protection division is comprised of off-duty and retired police officers who travel with professional athletes, business executives and entertainers with their families world-wide. Our Founder
Keith Benson, a retired Cook County Police officer, founded Protech Security Group in 1999 as he recognized the growing demand for private police protection.
Illinois state-licensed security professional with nearly 3 decades of experience, Keith has consulted with local businesses to improve their security protocols, bodyguarded many of Chicago’s professional athletes and executives, specializing in such areas as protective services, event security, emergency management, investigations and risk mitigation. Keith oversees the management of over 400 full and part-time employees, consults with City of Chicago commanders to assess crime rates in high-crime areas.
